How will the Competition be Judged? As students finish a book, they will enter the book’s details and their response to the book online at www.thelearningcenter.cn , with a parent or guardian signing off electronically. Each time they log in their details, we tally up the results. A panel of judges from The Learning Center, Sports Beijing, and Star Magazine will double check entries and verify parents’ electronic signatures on the reading logs. At midnight on final day of the race, the online entry center will be closed, and the final results will be tallied. How Do I Find Out if I have Won? Winners will be recognized at the awards ceremony following each season’s race. The Winter Awards Ceremony will be held on June 6, 2010. What Happens if I Win? At the ceremony, you will be given an award certificate and prizes if you place first, second, or third in your age group. If you cannot be present for the awards ceremony, your prize will be kept at The Learning Center and you will be notified to pick it up within two weeks of the awards ceremony. What Happens if I Don’t Win? Don’t despair! All participants will receive a certificate of participation and, if you join the awards ceremony, a goody bag full of treats. You will always have another chance to join in the race the following season. Race sign-ups for the next season will be going on throughout the awards ceremony, or you can join in online.
