Parents seek tutoring for their child for a variety of reasons, but most often when the child is struggling in a subject area. A teacher or counselor may recommend such tutoring or a parent may see the need for the extra work as the result of report cards or teachers' comments. In some cases, students themselves recognize a need for extra support.
