How long will my child need to be tutored? |

Every student is unique and there is no easy answer to this question. For students who begin tutoring late in the game, the process can actually take longer than for those students who begin tutoring as soon as problems arise. Many students continue tutoring at least once a week throughout their school education, to ensure that support is available when trouble hits. For other students, six months to a year is enough to help them grasp key concepts and they are able to work independently thereafter. For students whose focus is general English as a Second or Other Language, the length of study will also depend on the level at which the student began. For motivated beginners to reach proficient or fluent stages, it can take as much as 6 years of regular study, if the student is not in an international school environment. Our ESOL workshops speed up this process a bit, by taking students through the key steps in a little over 3 full years of intense study (nearly 300 hours of English instruction). back to the FAQ
